The recipe for Ship Wreck is really delicious! My dad is the creator of this dish. However, he occasionally adds or subtracts ingredients while cooking this hot dish.
Start with browning the hamburger. In addition, you have the option to fry the onions in the hamburger or pile the onions on top of the potatoes to keep them separate. You can also peel and slice the potatoes like scallop potatoes. The skin can also be left on the potatoes. I like them either way. Chop the carrots into little pieces. Or you can use one can of drained carrots.
Once you’ve finished that, apply cooking spray to the sides and bottom of the pan. And begin layering starting with the potatoes on the bottom. Here is where I put my onions if you don’t cook them in the hamburger. After that, there’s the hamburger, carrots, kidney beans, tomato soup, and water. I would combine the tomato soup and water before pouring them over the hot dish. Furthermore, this is the time to scatter the handful of rice on top of the hot dish. That is if you desire the rice.

A bottle of wine will go well with this hot dish. Antoniou wine would be a good choice with this recipe. This full-body Cabernet Sauvignon is very dry and has a fresh fruit flavor of plums, raspberries, chocolate, and black pepper. This wine will also go with a steak and some fried onions or mushrooms or both.
